If you're looking to escape the real world and dive into a fictional universe, fantasy is the genre for you! Fantasy is a "genre of literature that features magical and supernatural elements that do not exist in the real world" (MasterClass). 

Below are selection of Young Adult novels in the fantasy genre. This list combines texts culled from NPR's recommended list and some of the favorite texts of SHS English teachers.  If you're not sure where to start, The Graveyard Book,The Ocean At The End of the Lane, Carry On, Akata Witch, and The House in the Cerulean Sea are some of your English teachers' favorites!
