SHS Reads

Dear Incoming 9th, 10th, 11th & 12th-grade Students,

Happy summer! As you take a break from school, your ELA teachers hope you will use this time to engage in reading that brings you joy. All SHS students are encouraged to read at least two books this summer that you have never read before, and we invite you to participate in the Sharon High School summer reading challenge.

Below you will find grade-level recommendations for summer reading, and additional titles can be found under the "HS Choice Recs" tab or on the Sharon library website

In deciding what to read, you might try a new title from a genre you enjoy or the next book in a series. All books -- traditional novels, graphic novels, nonfiction, and novels in verse are all fine and encouraged. Listening to audio books is also a wonderful way to enjoy a text. If you've read your two new books, you might revisit old books you loved from the past.

To find your grade-level recs
, either click on the SHS summer reading tab above and select your grade, or click on the links below.

Take care, and we look forward to seeing you soon!
